During the winter of 2014, I acted alongside John Comegno in a film directed by Matt Mamie. It was a great short film that was a class A production from the students at Drexel University. I've praised Drexel's Film School program before and I will always do so. From the casting to the sets, all of these "students" are very professional and have bright futures in the business ...

Yesterday was one of those 17 hour work days doing what I love. I played a cop for a training film on one set and then a father on the set for a horror movie. Good fun. Have a great weekend!
Read MoreSo close!
I was cast in this movie last year, but due to setbacks it went through delay after delay. Well, the director has been continually working on the visual effects for this project and is close to finally beginning to start filming this scifi horror survival movie. It's going to be more SILENT HILL creepy than scifi thriller. Awesome!

Last night was the premiere of LUV DON'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE in Philadelphia. The host of the movie gave a very emotional speech about the director, Mikal Odom, and his dedication to his film. Mikal was then introduced to the audience and thanked his cast and crew for helping to make his 15 year journey come to life. He had us stand up and be recognized. As I looked around at the rather packed theater, I started to feel an overwhelming sense of pride and appreciation for being cast in this movie...and I still had not seen it. Well, I found the movie to be spectacular!

This past weekend I attended the cast wrap and premiere party for I PROMISE. It was such a great project to be a part of and I loved seeing everyone again. I've attached a link to some of the pictures posted by our director. The movie will be entered into film festivals and will hopefully come to a city near you.
Here's a link to an album of pictures from the Cast Wrap Party. Enjoy!

As an actor, I like to find projects challenging and interesting, but I feel so fortunate when the film/short/web series/stage production has heart and a great cast and crew to work with. Last summer I spent two days filming LUV DON'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE, and I'm so proud to have been cast in this movie. It has a very strong message and I can't wait to see Nathaniel Ryan's full performance in the movie at the QFLIX FILM FESTIVAL July 10, 2015 @7:30. Go to their website, qflixphilly.com, for ticketing information. Check out the trailer, too.

Well, it's now been three days since the Prince concert in DC. I'm still as stoked as I was when I first saw him in 1988. It was the LOVESEXY tour then and now he's doing the HIT N RUN TOUR. ...

Another great day in NYC for an acting seminar with a casting agent. I learned a tremendous amount and still have the hunger to keep pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Before the seminar, I had a great meet up with my acting friend Tina whom I worked with on a webseries trailer. She's a great talent and helped me get my first stage acting gig in NYC. I also had to bring home fresh pastries. It's kind of my thing. Anyway, a great seminar and even better networking.

I'm so glad I was able to end my day by being a part of filming yesterday for DEADLY TIES/BOUND BY BLOOD. It was a long night, but I had a great time on set being around fellow professional actors Brian A Wilson, Ivan Santiago, and our director Kreshnik Seseri. I can't tell you about the scene, you'll have to see it, but we had fun on set. Today is a rest day from acting, but back to training for my next competition. Actually, I have four online auditions to submit and preparation for an acting seminar on Wednesday. Awesome.
Read MoreMovie Making Is Good Fun!
Movies making is good fun. Today I had to revisit two totally different characters as we are doing reshoots and add on scene. First was I PROMISE. A loved this role, a loving husband and father, and jump at the chance to work with both Jeni Miller and Deirdre McCullagh. Once that was done, off to the set of DEADLY TIES/BOUND BY BLOOD (originally titled MY FRIENDS) under the direction of Kreshnik Seseri. I'm playing one of the thugs. This was one of the projects I did after BROWNCOATS. If you watch my reel, you can see my first movie death scene. Anyway, great fun!
Read MoreRestoration - Take Three
This past weekend marked another successful performance of RESTORATION. I really felt like my costar and director all took it up a level to settle into the characters like we never have. Well, it's over now and the writer of the play was very happy with our performances and we were given some great praise from members of the audience after the show. I'm so comfortable working with Chelsea and Jake and I don't think this is the last time we'll work together. On to the next project...

It's almost midnight, and I'm on a bus from NYC back to Philly. I don't mind that it's so late because the MEGABUS driver is in control. I wouldn't want to be driving out of the city and the NJ Turnpike at this hour.
The first performance of RESTORATION went well. A few things need to be easily tuned, but otherwise, we nailed it. I will say that someone in the audience was "whispering" to her friend during the beginning of our show. Excuse me, Miss. Yes, you. Please stop. Thank goodness it didn't completely distract me or Chelsea, but come on. Respect the actors. I now get why Hugh Jackman lost it during one of his stage shows when someone's phone started ringing.
Anyway, an audition in Baltimore tomorrow and then one more show on Friday. Good fun.
Dress Rehearsal
Dress rehearsal time for RESTORATION. It was a nice easy drive to Brooklyn and I'm amped to get this play perfected for Wednesday and Friday. Yeah, baby!
Read MoreChoices Season 2 - A Difficult Scene
Last spring, I read the pages in the script for a very difficult scene I had to film for CHOICES Season 2. The actor I was going to be working with, Joseph A. Charles, and I had rehearsed the scene at a cast rehearsal and we both went to a very dark place to bring the words and scene to life. When finished our director said, "And scene," we were both greeted with applause from our cast mates and had to hug each other to help step away from the emotional scene. We ended up filming it during the summer and it helped that we both trusted each other to add the rehearsed action and other actors to keep the intensity. While I encourage you to watch all of the episodes, this is the link to the episode and when the scene begins. Joseph is an amazing actor and such a professional. WARNING: EXCESSIVE PROFANITY

I'm so excited to be back on stage with Chelsea Clark and under the direction of Jake King as we perform for the third time RESTORATION. If you are in the NY area, come to the show. Get your tickets ahead of time. The last time we did the show as part of a play festival, it sold out and there were people sweating it out in the wait line to get in. Thanks again for your support.

This recent episode of CHOICES Season 2 is so full of drama, action, heartache, and...blood. I'll post stills from it soon, but Delia Ruffin, you did a fantastic job with this and Joseph A. Charles, you sir, are an absolute joy to work with. We need to find a project to do where our characters don't pulverize each other. LOL

I love the acting circle in Philadelphia. I've met some amazing actors, writers, producers, models, and directors. Last year I met Julie Stackhouse through Facebook and then in person at one of Loren W. Lepre's Philly Philm Phunctions. A great networking event for us. Julie impressed me with her sense of humor and seriousness to not only acting, but everything that goes into the production. Sound, lighting, camera angles, and editing...she knew it all...
