What a great afternoon! I had a table read for an upcoming project written by fellow actor and friend, Jeff Swisher. It is a hilarious script and with Joe Stretch Paul as part of the project, it's bound to be an absolute joy to film this comedy. I've been fortunate to be surrounded with not only great actors with my projects, but also people who are fun to be around. The streak continues. Thanks again for offering me the role, Jeff, and let's get to work.

Read MoreI purposefully waited to make this next post because the current time is significant to the origin of how I became involved with my current project.
At the end of last year, I followed up on a casting call that had passed its deadline. I thought I'd touch base with the production team and submit my headshot, resume, and reel and see if there were any small parts still available. I was contacted and told that they would keep me in mind, but the writer wanted to know what I thought of his script anyway. I knew it was a horror script, so I waited until 11:30 at night, the current time, and turned off all of the lights. Except my small reading light. I wanted to set the tone to be startled, scared, and terrified ...
Read MoreYesterday we wrapped writer and director, Deirdre McCullagh's, sentimental and emotional movie I PROMISE. I posted about Saturday's shoot already, but I had the opportunity to reflect on my experience with this film as I drove home from the set. Not only was it a well written script and both the cast and crew were exceptional, but I felt a great deal of pride to play the part of the father. I've drawn on my life experiences to help me create the characters I've played, but I don't have childhood raising experience to channel to help me. However, that didn't matter. The actress playing my daughter, Zephyr Ingle, carried me through my scenes with her with such ease, professionalism, and comfort that she made it so real for me during one of the hardest scenes I've ever had to film. I mentioned this on an earlier post, but it is an honor to say that I played her father in a movie you have to see. Also, the movie is now in the capable hands of Deirdre and her talented boyfriend to edit this into what will be more than just a movie. There is so much heart and soul in every aspect of it that I feel overly blessed to have been chosen to be part of the cast. Please check out the website and as always, thank you for your support.
Read MoreWell, today was the first day of filming for a great short titled, I PROMISE. Please visit the website, www.ipromisefilm.com, for updated info and pics about the movie. It was a very emotional day that started and ended with tears...both happy and sad. In between were plenty of laughs, bloopers, great dialogue, and a young actress who carried all of us through this story in ways that I wasn't expecting. This is going to be a great film when it is done and I'm so proud to be a part of it and I can't begin to thank our director, Deirdre McCullagh, and my costar and incredible good friend, Jeni Miller, for having me be part of the cast. One more day of filming and one last day to be around such a great group of cast and crew.

While my acting career began with a musical at a children's theater playing a reindeer, a few years later I was on the set of BROWNCOATS:REDEMPTION. Our world premiere was at DragonCon and it was a huge success with over 1,000 people in line waiting for the doors to open. The movie also raised a great deal of money for various charities. Before and after the premiere, I spent my time promoting the movie and signing pictures and DVD's. It was a great time in my life and a great introduction to the world of movie making.
When I'm not doing any acting or modeling, I substitute teach. The flexibility allows me to remain active in the educational profession and pursue my acting goals. I saw a group of students this morning who I met last week. Great kids. Anyway, they couldn't remember my last name (they love the simplicity of my first name), and so one finally spoke up and said, "Good morning Mr. Model/Actor." LOL I'll take that.
Read MoreThis has been an interesting week for me in regards to my CrossFit training. Tomorrow will be my first competition, so I've spent this past week focusing on my strategies for each of the three workouts. Today I'll be doing some light cardio and mobility to stay loose and flexible. Many of my fellow athletes and coaches at CrossFit Riverfront have given me advice, words of encouragement, and inspiration for which I am grateful since I'm still relatively new to all of this. One of my coaches just posted a video she produced which has further inspired me to keep going and why I believe in CrossFit and cheer for anyone who keeps working hard at this sport to always get stronger, faster, and healthier. Thank you Coach Mikaelyn Austin and thank you Tiiara. Let's have fun and kick butt tomorrow!

Read MoreLast summer, I had a two day shoot for a movie that premiered it's trailer at a cast and crew party yesterday. I've been fortunate to film feature movies, indies, shorts, web series, commercials, and print ads the past six years and play many different characters. My role in LUV DON'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE, took my acting to a new level of trust and a firm belief in those I was working with and the directors vision. After watching the trailer, I feel honored to be a part of what is going to be an honest and caring movie about love. Mikal Odom, thank you for choosing me to be in your movie. Nathaniel Ryan, thank you for teaching me more about myself as both an actor and human. Finally, thank you Alice Wills for believing in me and pushing to have me join the team. Enjoy the pictures from the party and click on the link for the trailer. Carmen and I had to hit up the Starbucks before heading back home. Too cold for the Hawaiian. LOL. Thank you again for your support in all that I do.
