Yesterday we wrapped writer and director, Deirdre McCullagh's, sentimental and emotional movie I PROMISE. I posted about Saturday's shoot already, but I had the opportunity to reflect on my experience with this film as I drove home from the set. Not only was it a well written script and both the cast and crew were exceptional, but I felt a great deal of pride to play the part of the father. I've drawn on my life experiences to help me create the characters I've played, but I don't have childhood raising experience to channel to help me. However, that didn't matter. The actress playing my daughter, Zephyr Ingle, carried me through my scenes with her with such ease, professionalism, and comfort that she made it so real for me during one of the hardest scenes I've ever had to film. I mentioned this on an earlier post, but it is an honor to say that I played her father in a movie you have to see. Also, the movie is now in the capable hands of Deirdre and her talented boyfriend to edit this into what will be more than just a movie. There is so much heart and soul in every aspect of it that I feel overly blessed to have been chosen to be part of the cast. Please check out the website and as always, thank you for your support.
