THE DRIVE is a wrap!

Last night I wrapped my scenes for THE DRIVE. I've filmed a plethora of indies and web series, but this one had a unique spark to it. Perhaps it's because of the camaraderie with the cast and crew. Well, I was able to further expand on my stoicism to create a pretty cool character. It was a great two month shoot for me and now...on to the next projects.

Need Headshots? Go to Michael Levy Photography

Last month I was reunited with a personal friend and fellow actor, Michael James Levy, who is also a professional photographer. We first met while acting in BROWNCOATS:REDEMPTION back in 2010. While his acting career continues to thrive, his talents behind the lens are phenomenal. He created a journey for me that made our session not only an absolute joy, but also unique and adventurous with creativity. If you are looking to update your headshots, or need a photographer who can take you, or your event, beyond the norm, click on his link and contact Michael Levy Photography

Use Your Actor’s Face

Use Your Actor’s Face

Check this article out! This is from the movie I did one year after wrapping BROWNCOATS: REDEMPTION. This is a great read. I had no idea about the thought process that went into this scene once it was in editing. Movie making is quite an art form. Thank you again, Michael, Kreshnik, Delia, Mike, Matthew, Joe, Skye, Cassia, William, Jennifer, Brian, Bill, Antonio, Kevin, Jake, Todd, and every other director/producer I've worked with.

Bit of a mishap...

Bit of a mishap...

Yesterday was a day I have been looking forward to for a month. I shot a scene for CHOICES Season 2 with the great actor, Joseph A. Charles. When we originally rehearsed it, we took our characters to a very dark and violent place. Especially, me. Anyway, I'm so relived it went well and the footage was amazing. I'm also relived that it was clear that we were filming, per the cameras and crew, because we both went back to that dark place and made it even more intense. Again, with emotional and violent scenes like what we filmed, trusting your fellow actor makes it worth the risk of losing yourself in that moment. We did have a bit of a mishap, but it was nothing too serious. Thanks again, Joe. CHOICES Season 2 is going to be awesome when it's done.

ADR

ADR

You're next...AMERICAN IDOL! Yeah, right. LOL I was doing ADR the other night for Best Laid Plans, a movie I filmed in February with John Comegno. We're both excited to see the final cut. It looks amazing! The last pic is one of my favorites from the very cold night we filmed outside at a park until 4am.

New Jersey Going Strong TV Commerical

New Jersey Going Strong TV Commerical

I shot this commercial over two days in beautiful Seaside Heights, New Jersey.

It was a lot of fun - met some great actors and awesome crew. From our smiling faces you can't tell how cold it was while filming this ... ahh the magic of film.

The commercial is so well done, it makes *me* want to vacation there!

THE DRIVE - First day on set

THE DRIVE - First day on set

Three months ago I auditioned for a new webseries, THE DRIVE. I was offered a part and it's been in production now for about two months. Today is my first day on set and I'm excited to finally get started on it. But first, a protein shake!

Exactly what I need

I love getting emails being offered a role, or audition, based on my reel. Sweet. That being said, I have a great opportunity to play a local from Hawaii in a movie being filmed in DC. This is exactly what I need to show my range as an ethnically ambiguous actor.

Another great day!

Today was another great day to be a Philly actor. I filmed a scene for the series finale of FLOUR and did a photoshoot for CHOICES Season 2. Tomorrow I'll be filming a very emotional scene with Jeff Swisher for CHOICES. It's going to be a rough one.

Another premiere

Another premiere

I had two auditions that were last minute calls. I'm so thankful that I have the availability to do them now. If I don't book the gigs, on to the next auditions.
This weekend is the AC premiere of the second movie I did, A CONVENIENT TRUTH. I'm looking forward to it since the director informed me that it's NYC premiere went over very well and people laughed at my scenes. That's a good thing since it's a comedy.

Putting on the wig

Putting on the wig

Last nights shoot for DEVIL IN JERSEY was more than just work. It was a welcome chance to visit with and work under the direction of Don MacAnanny, Tasha Ree Rudolph, and Matt Sundell to put the final touches on the project. I really enjoy playing Lodi Mount and yes, putting on the wig.

Visiting an old friend

Visiting an old friend

Being an extra has some great, and not so great moments on and off set. I enjoyed seeing some old friends and making new ones. Some of the advice from fellow actors will certainly help as I progress through this journey. If anything, though, it inspired me to keep working hard at the craft. I'm looking forward to this weeks auditions, table read, line memorizations, and character development. But first, I get to visit an old friend tonight: Lodi Mount. The post production team felt one extra scene was needed to help tell the story. Of course I'm cool with that.

Busy, busy. Love it!

Many cool things happening for me. I'll be on set as an extra for an ABC pilot this weekend, hopefully shooting one additional scene for DEVIL IN JERSEY, a table read next week for the new web series THE DRIVE, I was offered a part for another web series, FLOUR, to be filmed in April, and I was offered a part in a movie to play a police detective. Busy, busy. Love it! Also, check out the page for SISTERLY DISORDER. I filmed my scenes at the end of 2013 and in January. Good luck to the production team as they go to the LA WEBSERIES FESTIVAL.

So far...

So far...

So far with my acting, I've played cops (good and bad), hitmen, a Native American Indian, a field worker, Dr.'s, a door to door salesman, a college Dean, a bartender, corporate executives, and even a singing reindeer. Today I get to tone it all down and play a therapist in the webseries CRAZY, SEXY, COOL. I was originally cast for this because the casting team felt a natural feeling of trust and sincere caring during my read in January. Awesome. This will be another fun day of filming. But first...pancakes, eggs, and BACON!!!
